Forest School provision

We offer Forest School experience to all our children throughout their time at Maytree. This consists of 4 sessions in our dedicated area in our garden. This then culminates in a day out to Streatham Common where parents/carers are invited to accompany their child. These sessions are led by our staff members who are qualified in planning and leading these sessions. Children learn many skills through these sessions in a small group of around 6-8 children. Some of the sessions include; pond dipping, mini beast hunting, planting, using tools and fire making. As the groups are very small and fully supported by our skilled practitioners children often make progress in their communication skills.
